Which Biltwell Tracker - Smooth, Slotted or TBW
« on: April 25, 2021, 03:12:56 pm »
Please forgive me, but I'm a rider and not much of a wrencher.

I have the Rox Risers, but I'd like a little more rise (that's what she said = ) )

I'm going with the Biltwell Trackers High, but I'm unsure of which to purchase - smooth, slotted, or TBW. I realize I'll probably need new cables, and I'm ok with that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Theoretically, any of them will work, but smooth bars are what is intended to be used on the Bolt. Those trackers will give you that MX style look, which I am a big fan of. Might not need new cables depending on how tall the risers are. A lot of differing opinions on that, but I found that about 4-6 inches over stock bar height was fine with stock cables with some rerouting. Just fit it up and test out the turning and cable tension before ripping off down the road. I recently put the Zombie Performance taco bars on, with 12 inches of rise, and those definitely required longer cables. Hope that helps, good luck!

Smooth bars will work, but you may have to drill a locating hole for the controls.  I believe that Yamaha put a pin to stop them from rotating.  I have heard that some people just file off the plastic pin, though.

Slotted or TBW bars aren't meant for anything other than Harleys.
