« on: October 05, 2021, 09:33:57 am »
Hi,

Today I mounted Vance and Hines twin exhaust and check engine light was occurred, but without codes - just light

- I turn off bike from battery - 1 min.
- Wire harness should be okay - I disconnected it and connected back

Bike goes without problems.

Could you please help me?  I tried search this problem on this forum, but without results.

Did you reconnect the O2 sensor?

Yes, already maybe 10 times.. I mounted back stock exhaust and I let it warm up.. Still check engine light.

I tried disconnect o2 sensor and start bike, bike started without problems, but interestening is that was no code , just check engine light.

Make sure the contacts didn't get pushed out of the plastic housing or bent.

I checked contacts (connectors) as first, but there is nothing damaged or bent.. :/

I found one post on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Yamahabolt/comments/9mnlpf/how_to_clear_fault_codes/

But without results.

Holding the "select" and "reset" buttons while turning the key on meant that the engine light didnt appear (until I let go of the buttons).

I figured I was onto something, so I repeated the process, but before letting go of the buttons I started the bike.

Just like that, the code is cleared.

Btw, is it possible buy Diagnostic tool (Fault code scanner) ? I can not find this tool.  I have OBD II scanner, but I need maybe special coupler for connection.
