OBD2 adaptor + phone + Torque Pro?
« on: March 26, 2021, 12:27:37 am »
Hey all;

I had a thought - dunno if it's been explored yet.

In my car I am running an OBD2 Bluetooth dongle (hahah - can't say that without giggling - maturity) which casts to a Torque Pro app on my phone. It's limited to sensors that it can read from the port, but I'm getting a lot of cool stuff like coolant temp, intake temp, AFR, throttle position etc etc.

I've seen people use OBD2 to moto-style pigtails for stuff, and also have seen the Torque app work with other motorcycles. I know the info we could glean would be quite limited on the Bolt, but some is universal.....has anyone tried this out yet? If it works it could be a decent little mini-dash with the right phone mount....;)
