Link to OEM parts and diagrams
« on: April 14, 2014, 06:42:06 pm »
I know a lot of people have been asking about replacement oem parts for our Bolts.  Here is a link to diagrams and part numbers......just select your model Bolt and be on your way into the depths of the internet:

http://www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/#/c/yamaha_motorcycle_2014/parts

maybe this can get added as a sticky?

Norm,
Any authorized Yamaha dealer that has a website, normally has the OEM Parts Fiche on line...

But for Yamaha OEM Parts...these are some vendors that I have used that can usually beat anyone else as far as prices go;

http://www.partshark.com/fiche_select1.asp?cat=Motorcycles&mfg=Yamaha

http://www.knmotorcycles.com/

http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/

Of course the one that you posted, Babbits is another source but their prices are a bit higher...

I think it is about time that we contact some vendors/dealers and try to get a Yamahastarbolt website discount...like a Coupon Code for ordering...even if its a 5% discount, that's better than nothing...

Also, of course on any vendor/dealer, you have to figure in the Shipping and in some cases, Sales Tax where applicable...

The reason that Part Shark can undercut everyone else for 99% of the OEM parts is, they have a buyer in Japan and they ship to them here in the States like 3-4 times a week...and that buyer is most probably getting dealer pricing in Japan...so, when that is the case, they are hard to beat...that's just from experience in buying from them...plus, that buyer I think has some sort of way of ordering the part(s) in Japan but getting it fulfilled here in the States from one of the four Yamaha Warehouses across the USA...

Some assumption of course but I have ordered parts that I absolutely know, there is no way that any vendor/dealer would hold that part in stock but the part arrives still in the 3-5 days, so it has to be coming out of Yamaha USA to Partshark and to the customer...unless there are no spares in the USA...

The parts normally arrive in 3-5 days unless, Yamaha is out of stock...

Anyway...I thought I'd add to your post...

Yeah...it would be a place to have vendors/dealers/etc listed as sources for OEM Part/Accessories/etc...so that it makes it easier for members to find parts...

Although, I have purchased from all four of those places in addition to numerous others...I always check my Dealer's Website here at http://www.sbmotor.com/ because their online parts order prices are quite a bit lower than MRSP, although on most things, they can't beat Partshark's prices but I figure in the local 8% sales tax, no shipping vs partshark or other vendors prices plus shipping and sales tax if applicable...to see which one is better but I know that with my dealer, I have the parts in 1-3 days...because they have a truck that delivers directly from the Yamaha Warehouse up in Cypress/Irvine, Ca. (120 Miles)...so a lot of times it is more convenient for me...

I like www.Yamahapartshouse.com for their diagrams and part number listings. They stick it to you for shipping and I their customer service is not going to win any awards.

I've used www.Partzilla.com and have had good experiences with them. Their prices are very good and shipping is reasonable.

Compare them with Partshark.com...their prices are usually the best...the shipping cost can be a problem depending on how much you buy...the shipping cost table is on a pull down...Customer Service/USA Shipping

I noticed this on the stickys and read through it, and a lot of these are the OEM diagrams, but so few of them have the ability to search through them for a particular part if you're not sure where exactly it is, or you just want a list of (if it's listed as) filters, bolts, washers, hose, etc. I just wanted to put this in here because it has a search filter/finder function if you know what it's listed as. And it's not for just Yamahas, if you have a Kawi, Suzu, Honda, Can-Am/BRP/SeaDoo... etc. They're all on there.

It's my back-up catalog at work for when the Snap-On one starts being a little buggy.
