Anybody know/measured REAR spring rate?
« on: March 17, 2021, 03:41:50 am »
Looking to maybe swap with an Indian Scout rear shocks and they're labeled 42N/mm. Also, not sure about eye-to-eye length yet but looks to be in the 11 inch range, about an inch longer than stock Bolt's.

Anyways, anybody know/measured the Bolt's REAR spring rate? Cheers

K1 Spring rate 37.30 N/mm (3.80 kgf/mm, 212.98 lbf/in)
K2 Spring rate 52.00 N/mm (5.30 kgf/mm, 296.92 lbf/in)

So stock springs are dual rate, or progressive.  Averaging the two rates gives about 45N/mm...sounds like you'd get a softer ride with the Indian shocks.
