Hi from Charleston
« on: May 22, 2021, 08:57:14 am »
Hey y'all! I'm a previous owner of a Ninja 250 and took a hiatus from riding. Finally, decided to get back to it and wanted an upgrade but didn't want a sportsbike. After months of looking, I decided I liked the Vulcan, but the dealer didn't have it in the color I liked. Few months later I go back to sit on
a Rebel 1100 but it was out for repair. Rode a Rebel 500 but it didn't speak to me.  Saw the Bolt and took it out for a spin. Fell in love immediately! So I bought this beauty of a bike that wasn't even on my radar.

Now I'm so excited to make her my own with plans on blacking it out. My wheels are wire spokes and I'm having trouble finding plain black wheels that would fit. The black wheels from the R-Spec model seems like it would work but I can't find any products online. Any suggestions would be appreciated!  :)

You can buy the R-spec wheels from your Yamaha dealer, or from an on-line Yamaha Parts store (link below).  But your looking at some serious cash - around a thousand dollars for rims, and probably another $500 to go from a tube tire to a tubeless.  I think I would just use a can of black spray paint on the spokes, and be careful to get the paint on without affecting the wheel balance.  Anyway, good luck on that project.

I didn't know there were different tires on the R Spec. I'll look into trading. Thanks!
