That's a nice find and a pretty good price.  I was just thinking of just painting my gas cap, or putting some kind of sticker on top of it.
Artudatech Fuel Gas Tank Cap Keys for Yamaha XT660X/R XT250 XG250 SCR950 2004-2018 5VK-24602-00 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B7P4T96/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Zy9jFbN5RFYVH

Hereís the link if youíre interested. Itís not oem but the fitment is spot on and comes with two keys.

So, not totally finished, but damn close.  I created my very own exposed drive pulley kit. $30.

Looks good.  Is that a 6" speaker frame you used?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FDQZMDY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
LED front Light Bulb w/ RED Halo illuminated (Blue is also available)
the RED bulb shank is visible and reflects a light Red onto the silver reflector background of the Lamp - Neat-O to me
although, like the STOCK light bulb - When Hi Beam is on, the Light shoots high and the road in front of bike is dimly lit
so - i will KEEP Only using the Low Beam at night (visibility increased, brighter w/ LED)

I'll start another thread to lay it all out, but basically:
1. Use 5inch hole saw to drill out the cover
2. Get 5.5ish inch plexi and glue it to the cover on the back side
3. I used black caulk to get the front gap filled (You'll see when I post pics)
4a. buy the things I'm linking below.
4b. get over the fact that that is NOT RED!! THATS FREAKING PINK!! DANG IT!! DAMN YOU AMAZON!! Oh, wait, that actually looks pretty darn good and my art teacher girlfriend tells me it's magenta and she has more rods and cones than me and get's paid to do this crap.  Ok, I'm ok now.  I can deal with this.
5. Glue the pink magenta things to the inside of the cover on the plexi It's 140mm (just over 5.5 inches) so it is not visible from the outside (this is important).
6. Wire everything up. I'm wiring mine into an "add a circuit) that I'm using with my break lights.

Link to pink Magenta things (be warned, the red looks pretty pink, but looks surprisingly good when installed):

At least you called it pink. If she called it pink and You argued it was magenta that would be a whole different story....😜
