Botched up the factory plastic fender to be able to still cover up the wire harness(es) under the fender. Gonna let it dry a while before I put it on, but happy with how it turned out!

Oiled the leather on my saddlebags using Angelus brand Mink Oil.  Had enough oil left over to also oil five pairs of boots.

Finally added rear seat plus the luggage rack.
Also in the process of making a plate for the fender hole where the go pro will mount. Just for aesthetic purposes other than covering it completely.

Update on the custom plate. I added a picture of it with the Go-Pro mount already installed, obviously it needs to be finished up with paint. The hardware is temporary until I get a dress up bolt. Electrical tape will be added to the underside to protect paint.

I was never a fan of the speedometer being so close to the gas tank when wiping it down, especially now with the leather seat I have to lower my head down more to see the display.

Since I'm getting ready to add the mini ape bars, I figured it would be wise to raise it up by a couple inches.

I used a bracket I bought off amazon, already had 2 holes just had to make them slightly bigger. Then I cut it in half for 2 small pieces, you can really use anything at this point.

I will have to change the hardware for something more discrete. The only negative was having to cut off the small wire loop in order to fit but since I'm putting new cables it wouldn't matter.

Check out the picture I added in the gallery.

That speedo on the back side of the triple clamp reminds me of the potato down the pants joke to help pick up women, where - well jumping to the punchline - Oh, you're supposed to put the potato in the front ???

Cool.

Nothing major as i had about 40 mins before work;

  • Front guard/fender off
    Mirrors off
    Passenger seat off
    Adjusted clutch
    Baffle out of the highwayman exhaust (trash baffle, but resulted in trash sound without it)
    Fixed some poor choices by the previous owner.

MUCH more to come...
