Thrashin Supply - Essential or Escape Bags?

Greetings Bolt Riders!

Need to get some storage set up for those California and beyond camping trips.

Anyone using the Thrashin Supply Essential and/or Escape Bags?

I can not decided which size would be the better option for everyday riding and geared up out of town cruising.

Let me know your thoughts if you have a set.

So how do they fit Jay? I literally ordered the escape bags 3 days ago, still waiting on em to come in. my signals are really far apart from my shocks so I figured it should be at least 13in of clearance between the two. I should also be having more room since I am going to run some Hagon shocks soon as well.

I never use escape bags on my motorcycle, why don't you go with saddlebags?

I better follow up on this by saying I love the bags.
I wish they were made in USA for the price but you can't win them all.
I don't take a lot of photos but here is one from a ride to the Sequoias.

How did the Essentials fit on the bolt? Does it need to be modified to fit? I took my rear turn signals off, are they needed to fit the bags?

Howdy A Scamm.

I think the only mod i did was bend the cheap brackets flat that came with the bags. Gave is a little more length for strapping in the bottom velcro closures.  Also used about a 1/4" spacer between the brackets and fender strut so the brackets can bolt down flat instead of caving into the strut.  Hope that makes sense.

I would think removing your blinkers (but having some some sort of indicators elsewhere) is your best move. I used a custom dynamics rounded license plate frame with integrated running/stop/blinkers/plate lights. Real clean set up and easy to install with regular tools.

Hell yeah, thanks J! I have the integrated taillight and turn signal LED strip that goes under the rear fender, so my stock blinkers are off. I'm glad only a simple modification/adjustment is needed for these. Don't really see too many Bolts rocking these, mostly only Harleys

They are cool little bags for around town. Might get some generic big bags for long trips. Only beef is I wish they were Made in the USA for the cost, but you can't win them all.
