The bags were hanging in the middle of nothing with that nearly invisible bracket in the 2nd pic on that link.
Cool.

A lot of people underestimate how long they can go without showering or eating, or how far it is between McDonalds if they had to eat, isn't there one every 3 feet in the CONUS.
Anyway If you're on a bike and had a stick of deodorant, you'd be fine for weeks, but of course bugs hitting you - well no guarantee there.
Food - well, who carries food in their bag anyway.
Camping ? Again If you know you don't need to eat - you just need to sleep.

Anyway, I guess I am fine till I get to 140 lb (I am 5' 9.5") or so - I know that, a lot of people who don't know that have trouble.

A touring bike to me is just a regular bike and a backpack.

Cool.

I'm really not too crazy about putting saddlebags on a twin shock bike which is why we bought the Silverado turd. The Bolt bags don't look like they'd do me any good if I need to carry anything bigger than what the rack can carry. I haven't physically seen a Bolt bag but they look like something that's a convenience I don't really need and end up trying to get rid of. But those soft bags look good!
