Ebay universal screen extender
« on: December 18, 2020, 10:15:12 pm »
Here's a little review of the universal screen extender from Ebay, now that I've had a run out with it on my Bolt. To quote Borat, "Great success!". I was already running with the Puig screen, which reduced windblast to the chest but made my head feel like it was in a jet engine.

The extender has improving things greatly. Upto around 80km/h there is now hardly any discernable buffeting to the head or upper body - much less wind noise than before, and I can hear the engine much better. At slow speeds I can even hear navigation commands from my phone (I don't have helmet comms), even with a quiet helmet on and with ear plugs in.

Over all, a much more comfortable and quiet ride - not perfect, but close enough. Most of the air that hits me now is what is coming up over the knees. Although the extender might look big in these photos, it really isn't and it doesn't spoil my view of the road at all - it is well below eye level. $35 (Aussie) well spent.

Thanks for posting this, and your experience with it.  I selected another type extender (with two-point attachment) from China for $20.  Whenever it arrives in a month or two, I'll report back on how well it works (or not.)

I installed the Dart Marlin dark smoke flyscreen and it buffers really well.
