Are there any covers for the stock rear shocks?
« on: June 09, 2020, 01:45:36 pm »
Hi all.

I have the standard chrome rear shocks, and would like to hide them. Not a chrome person. Would love some rigid covers for them / black version. Can't seem to find anything.

Would love the ohlins but i am not paying 1000 just because i don't like chrome. Also don't want to lower or raise the bike. And 100% do not want to resort to those wrap-around covers.

I could, i suppose.

I guess i'd have to remove each one, scuff the hell out of them (but not the piston), etch, paint.

I would just mask off the area, a good etch primer may not even need a scuff to key the paint, but would probably help.

Indeed.

I'll give it a go and if that fails; There's a paint shop near where i work which will have 2k etch primer and can do a damn good job of it.
