I pose a question to the community
« on: November 22, 2014, 02:31:45 pm »

Of the two suits which one looks better? I'm debating between sticking with the red tie on white shirt, or going full Johnny cash as the man in black to my wedding.

Bride does not know what I am wearing so I can't confer with her.

definitely black.  the white shirt looks too much like work attire, just my opinion.

and if you think it's too much black..

here's another option to confuse you even more  ;D

congrats btw!

White shirt too officey. I like Slaps suggestion, the black with just a little colour. Could possibly have your groomsmen wear the same style with a different tie - a good friend of mine did this and we all looked killer. (Sidenote: I was also informed by a very nice young lady that the best man, which was me at the time, never goes home alone. Who am I to break with tradition?)

I love Johnny Cash.
Definitely white shirt, a black vest and no tie.
This is the classic look.

I like the black with the coloured tie, but do you know what colour the bridesmaids (if you are having them) will be wearing? Red looks good but wouldn't so much if the bridesmaids are in a say a blue.

I'd marry #1 anyday.

Do the all black with a tie that matches the bridesmaids as said above! Never everything matches black after all

The same-color-tie-and-shirt look is played out. Remember how Regis Philbin popularized that like 10 years ago? Don't do it.

Here's what I'd do instead: get a charcoal colored shirt and keep the black tie. The overall look will be badass and cool looking with contrasting shades instead of all black, sort of like the different tones of gray on our beloved Bolts!

You'll look good no matter what others are wearing. The ladies will swoon and the guys will be a little nervous. Game recognize game!

Dudes getting married!  There are no other women!   He should wear whatever his wife tells him too, that way it will be a more accurate representation of marriage.

Reading is fundamental!  Lol, guess I didn't read his post too closely.

Let me modify my comment to say, with the charcoal gray shirt & black tie, the ladies will be jealous of your fiancee and the guys will want to BE you!

The tie in the second picture is the color of the bridesmaids dresses
I'm going to look at some new shirts Tuesday

Little girl asks her Mommy why the Bride is always dressed in white......
"That's because she's happy that she's getting married." Came the answer.
"Then how come the Groom is always dressed in black?"

Congrats and good luck, eh!

BTW - all black with the red tie....
