Hey all, i'm new to the forum and im reaching out to see what cable and line extensions people have purchased when replacing the stock handlebars. I was thinking about the yamaha OEM cable extensions but any other options that might be better/more affordable would be something i'd love to hear. Thanks!

I love my taco bars man, such a great product and upgrade for the Bolt.

I went with the Baron 12 inch cable kit for my 12 inch taco bars, https://www.ebay.com/itm/113934906352. you won't need them that long, but it will at least help you get started finding some.

I did have to reroute some of the wiring and the new cables under the tank, but the tank does not have to be removed to do so. I also had to sand down the powder coating on both ends of the bars to get the controls to fit, get some 150 grit sand paper and just do a little at a time until everything fits.

Also, if you haven't gotten them already, you will need either hard riser bushings or a hard mount kit. SSCC has the bushings https://sscustomcycle.com/product/hard-riser-bushings-for-yamaha/, and 310 parts has the kit https://www.ebay.com/itm/252511610576. I went with the 310 parts kit just because of price and shipping time.

Good luck and hope you love those bars as much as I do!

One more thing, you will have to get bolts to secure the bars to the triple tree. I found them very easily at the local hardware store. I can't remember the exact size, but the guys at Zombie Performance should be able to help you with that info if you email them.

Thanks a lot man! I saw this video on youtube and the guy mentioned how the bars didn't come with the hardware to mount the bars. I do get some wobble when downshifting into 4th gear around 40mph so I am getting those hard riser bushings from 310 as well. I figure it would make for a fun little project and I love the look of them so I'm glad to hear you say you like them. Thanks for the links i'll be sure to look into them.
