When I had a Vmax (gen 1 & gen 2) I put a oil pressure gauge on both.  Gen 1's were prone to having an o-ring squeezing past it's seat.  Most times it presented without any engine damage but when you took the oil pan off for whatever reason it freaked people out to see it.  Easy fix for it but a lot of us put gauges on to see exactly what was going on with it.  Did the same thing with the gen 2 when early models were recalled for supposedly faulty pumps.  The same thing could be done with the Bolt but probably won't bother.  Neither of the Vmax's ever had issues with oil pressure.  They didn't run on chains...they were geared.  The gen 1 pump gear was nylon.

Oh yea the famous plastic oil gear problem - kawasaki Vulcan 1500's had those as well.
Cool.
