This is an absolutely gorgeous bolt. Back in 2005-06 I made a red and black Yamaha Maxim completely powdercoating everything - no paint. I also consider the bolt a great candidate for what I call "negative" paint job. For example the side rails would be shiny red or yellow or whatever. But the tank and fender would be flat black. Like if you looked at the negative like on film in the old days - it would look like a properly painted bike LOL.
I did a few like that I am yet to complete. Frame was shiny silver with blue flecks, tank was flat blue.

KOSO speed-tack meter too - RED background light
Dupli-Color Engine RED paint - 2 cans
Dupli-Color Clear coat - 1 can
600 grit sand paper (grit size recommended by Dupli)
Grease remover - Dupli or equal - Spray Can - 1 can
Wash Motorcycle - leaf blower air dry engine - mirofiber cloth dry too
Un-Screw all 8 Pcs (both engine covers okay, no oil leaking) - 5 screws at Exhaust Tip were tuff to remove, sprayed with WD40 solvent
Hang Pcs in single car garage / storage shed on 2x4 boards with nails - like a Coat-Hook / there will be over spray on Paint - i hung/laid 4 old bed sheets
1 - spray light Tack Coat of RED - waited about 5-7 minutes, i suggest waiting 10 minutes, do a side job like sweep porch etc
2 - spray 3 medium Coats of RED (still looked freckled coverage over the Silver)
3 - spray 2 heavy Coats of RED (probably could of done One heavy - fully coverage Finish Coat)
4 - spray 1 LIGHT Coat of Clear (THEN wait 10 minutes as stated on can)
5 - spray 2 medium Coats of Clear (mine were probably more like heavy coats)
6 - wait 3 hours per Can on Clear Coat (i waited 2 1/2 hours - screwed back onto Bike, snug - then tightened screws next day
