Pir8, will your Bolt key go in as far as the little key? If it does and the barrel can be removed, it could be made to work with it.

I almost did this, but since I don't use my key (don't even have the ignition on there anymore) I just didn't bother.  It looked like it could be done. It does look just like the key for Tsza's up there.

The new one will come with different keys, and apparently the mechanism is different -
BUT - you should be able to strip it down and remove just the lock TUMBLER set and swap them - and keep your old (matching key) lock in the black cap.

Good luck!

The YouTube video linked above specifically said this is not possible.

If someone can figure it out I would definitely do it, but not worth carrying around another key.

BUT!... He didn't disassemble the LOCK mechanism.....  he just took it off the cap and tried to swap that way....
If he'd taken the actual LOCK (JUST the center rotating part where the key fits - NOT the whole damn thing) it WILL be interchangeable, unless they use two totally different style keys, and I don't expect they do, since I can still fit the key from my 79 into the tumbler block of my 14.....

I remember this being brought up in another thread and the Bolt barrel is different. I think it has a larger diameter but that doesn't mean the tumblers can't be swapped or easily ground off. I've done other locks for a few customers over the years and recently for my Bolt's helmet lock and never had a problem as long as the key fits. It's not rocket science.
