Air Intake & Muffler PLUG/STUFFER?
« on: September 22, 2020, 04:01:32 pm »
I plan to ride on the nice winter days ahead but that may not even be once a week and Iíve seen what damage animals can do inside a CAI to the filter.

Does anyone use any specific plug or what DIY do you use if any to stuff the intake and muffler holes?

Trying to be proactive to avoid any potential damage as the varmints look for any source of warmth in the cold.

Bike is outdoors just under a cover..

I keep the Bolt in the garage with the garage doors closed when not in use, and don't do anything special to it to protect it from insects and vermin.  And I will ride it several times over the winter, which is not all that severe down in Texas.

With my former bike (Honda Shadow) I often didn't have a garage and always kept it under a locked motorcycle cover when not in use, and that was all.  I don't recall ever having any problems with insects or vermin intrusion, and that includes seven years in the tropics (Philippines) -- But I rode it almost every day, or maybe I was just lucky.
