I'm considering replacing the air intake on my Bolt to get some more legspace. I am looking at the Cobra or the Vance&Hines Vo2 naked.

Can anyone tell me if this will have an impact on the exhaust i.e. does that need replacement too?

I concur with aussybolt - no real need to also change the exhaust.  But what you will get with a naked air filter (Cobra or V&H) is one extra loud hiss from them because there is no longer a cover to attenuate that hiss.  So some of us add on a Harley-style round cover to attenuate the hiss.

You might find that the naked filters really don't relieve much in the way of obstruction to your right knee, and learning to ride with your knee(s) hanging out (instead of tucked in) works better.
