Any idea what the difference is b/w the ###-09 amd the -30 manual?

A bit late in posting but thought I'd share some correspondence...it doesn't explain exactly why Yamaha changed the Publication Number but if someone wants to call Cypress Headquarters, maybe they would share(?)...I doubt that but you never know...

Yamaha first released LIT-11616-27-09.  Then discontinued this literature number and assigned a new number for this year and model which is LIT-11616-27-30.  The reasons are unknown to us and we recommend you contact Yamaha’s customer relations in Cypress, Ca.  We only distribute the literature for Yamaha.  We do know however that we no longer sell or produce LIT-11616-27-09.

I apologize for not being able to provide you with a better reason.

Hello,
I need to know what the difference is between the following two Service Manuals for the 2014 Yamaha Bolt is.

LIT-11616-27-09 (3 Pictures below)

LIT-11616-27-30 (1 Picture below)

I realize that on the Yamahapubs.com website, LIT-11616-27-30 is the one specified as being the current one and the one being sold.

But many 2014 Yamaha Bolt owners have the LIT-11616-27-09 version and several discussion have arisen concerning the compatibility of this version. And the
LIT-11616-27-09 version (NEW) is currently being sold via vendors and on several internet outlets.

Is it just a "First" and "Second" Edition print type of change or is there some things that we need to know inside of the older version that could be of concern?

Would appreciate an honest reply to this so that first, I can make a decision on which to purchase and also to pass on any info that you may be able to provide.

I've got the -09, as well - it would be good to know if there are any differences so we can note them.

OUCH - 40 ft-lbs difference is a LOT! That would definitely cause some problems.....

I wonder if you posted their email addy - if we all bombarded them to find out the differences..... Maybe they'd listen if they got 200 emails from their customers all asking the same thing..... LOL  Something like that usually gets attention.

Makes sense that sellers on ebay would sell off all the -09 manuals at a discount when they knew a newer -30 one was on it's way.

Can't wait to see what your Wiring diagrams look like....
