Most comfortable grips?
« on: May 19, 2017, 04:07:53 PM »
I need to get some new grips, my right hand starts to go numb after about 15 minutes (think I might have a little carpal tunnel), I think due to the vibes.
What are the most comfortable grips for reducing the vibes through the grips? I have seen Gel, Air, Memory Foam, other types of foam.

I don't know what to do with my hands.

I installed a set of Avon air cushioned grips with the throttle boss. I have only ridden with them a couple of times so far, and only short trips. With the stock grips, I would start to get the tingles after an hour or so. Hopefully I'll get out for a longer ride soon and see if they helped to eliminate that.

The throttle boss is a nice feature too, it lets you put pressure with your palm and take some of the strain off your fingers. Should also help keep the hands from going numb.

I can second that.  I had them on my Shadow and my Bolt up until last year.  Super comfy w/o being to soft a squishy.   I took them off because i got a bit of a sponsorship from a distributor and they asked my to have Biltwells installed.

I love my iso grips as well. Very comfortable. The one drawback is that they were a total pain to remove when I swapped out my bars. The glue they use is like superglue. I use their endbar weights as well.
