I just bought a drill bit extension and drilled out the inside of the baffle.  another member did it also.  much cleaner and easier than all that cutting.  I'm really surprised Low and Mean didn't think of it.

I did both, I used the Low and Mean method, which definitely worked, but was not the same impact as drilling out the back of the baffle with a hole saw....  To give perspective, and remember exhaust sound and tolerable noise level is very subjective between riders, I will give a rating... On a scale of 1-10, 1 being stock and 10 being what my ideal level of exhaust sound and volume would be... If stock was 1, then the Low and Mean drill outs brought it to a 4.5, and the hole saw drilling out the rear of the baffle is an 8.  I am going to order the Low and Mean megaphone with baffles and that should be my perfect ten.


On a side note, the Low and Mean video did address that concern, as they said they want to provide a DIY that everyone can do with just what is laying around their house. Most people have drill bits and a power drill, which makes their DIY drill outs very easy and does not require a trip to the hardware store.  On the other hand, drilling out the rear of the baffle requires a 10-12" extender and the 1 1/2" hole saw, which most do NOT have around the house and does require a trip to the hardware store. Which in my case cost me about $25 bucks at Home Depot.

I think someone commented to Low and Mean (on Facebook maybe?) about why they didnt just go to drilling the inside baffle. They replied something along the lines of, its a more advanced mod requiring tools that not everyone might have.
In my opinion, cutting a hole in the center baffle wall was alot easier and had much better results. But I did have to go out and buy about $20 worth of tools.

I did it your way also.  Just had to buy a drill bit extension and went right to the center of the baffle.  much cleaner with better flow results.  i noticed a small power gain on take off as well. 

So what kind of drill hole did you guys used? I went to home depot got different bits and none of them made a single scratch!.

I bought the same ones BoltiansMC bought...along with their pilot bit (probably didn't really need it since I have a set of nice drill bits already).
