Nankov.....your issue is mental.  You are working in hypotheticals and stories.  Side stands rarely if ever fail to the point of failure unless they are damaged by an impact or reinstalled incorrectly.  I have personally pivoted 1,000+ motorcycles on their side stands and NEVER had an issue with any of those ever coming back broken.  Take a deep breath, everything will be fine.
I get it that you think im overthinking it or im being mental.. But believe it or not there are bikes with weak stands and some do break or bend from prolonged abuse such as rotating and sitting on them. All i wanted to know was if  they were desiged to carry the load of the bike and a passanger or not...because some people actually like relaxing on their bike and if i knew it wouldn't do any harm i might too lol.

Because I'm a hundred pound weakling and my garage is slightly up hill, but only wide enough for one vehicle, I used to have trouble turning it around so I could ride out rather than have to back down the driveway.

Before I got one of these

http://www.ezy2wheel.com.au/

I used to have to straddle the bike and grab underneath the tank with one hand and grab handlebar with the other and heave ho with all every one of my 100 lbs to move it uphill and out of the way so I can put my car in behind it.

The bike rests on the dolly and I can just stand next to it and pull it around a lot easier.

I haven't noticed any loosening of the kickstand and cut off switch works fine.

I LOVE that idea - My garage is also at the top of a hill - about 6 feet above the road, with only a 30' long driveway, so even for my 250 lb of traction, I can barely push mine up the hill (I always ride straight into my garage - thank God for remote garage door openers!).  I always back out when I leave, but there are times when I would like to be able to move my bikes around (I have 3) to get at one or another to work on them, or get to stuff behind them.

I wonder if they have a distributor in Canada?  Or if they ship to Canada?

The owners are just a couple of Ulysses members. It's very sturdy and well made, a bit of weight in it but fits inside a small box. I sent them an email before I bought it to ask a couple of questions. You could contact them via the website and ask, don't see why they wouldn't mail one, it's just the added cost of international shipping though for you.

The thing I like about it is that I can really get the bike into the perfect spot so much easier.

That really is a bit of genius. Thanks for sharing the website.  I'm going to look into those for my showroom.

If you can't find them in Canada you could just buy something like this https://www.homehardware.ca/en/rec/index.htm/Hardware/Builders/Trucks-Dollies/Trucks-Dollies/Mover-s-Dolly/_/N-2pqfZ67l/Ne-67n/Ntk-All_EN/R-I5410022?Ntt=Dolly
and bolt on some 2x2s or screw on some metal and create a slot for the kickstand to live in.  Shouldn't be too hard to create something that would work.

That's WAY OVERKILL, SLC....  those things are a foot square - the one from Oz is only about 4" square..... and nice and low for bikes with long kickstands, too.

I wonder if they need a distributor in Canada...?  ;D

Haha true but I'm sure you can find something else to use too.  Or just buy some wheels and wood or metal and create your own.  Or Become a distributor :)

The guys at the dealership where I bought my Bolt were amazing at how easily they could move the bikes around and get them into tight spots.

Parking on the footpath in the state I live in is allowed so they line up 30 or so bikes (mostly used ones) on the footpath outside each morning when they open up, and then wheel them back in before closing at night.

I'm not as good as them even with my little dolly but a hell of a lot better than without it.

I know this is an old topic but man, do you need to find out the weight limit on the sidewalk before walking on it?  You said it yourself,. you are OCD.  Sort of clinical.  Seek help seriously.  Your friends are probably fucking spooked by this reaction.

Old post but new spin. Would you think using the SScustom 4” forward control kit (including side stand) would cause an issue for bike balance? Moving the side stand 4” forward I mean. Has anyone that’s used this noticed any balance issues or weight distribution issues since moving the location? Just curious. Thanks.

Thanks Pete. Appreciate the feedback. Did you install yourself? If so how was it? Any tips or insights?
