« on: August 03, 2015, 01:43:22 am »
I'm looking to change my stock bars out with the "H" bars 7" rise they say they will fit with stock cables? Looking for opinions on them and if they actually fit and work well

I stand corrected!  :-X LOL Thank you jdr_socal! That's actually really good!

So here is another following question: How far up can the stock cables go?

Not sure on the exact measurement but they are as tight a you'd probably want them, don't get me wrong, they're functional but I would not think they would come up any higher... :)

That is as high as you can go unless you were to narrow the bars more.  I wanted to go at least 8" up on the ones I built but the cables would not reach.  Eventually I will get longer cable and build a set in the 8 to 10 inch range.

How is the feel of the bike with the H bars being taller and slightly less width than stock?  The stock bars are fine for me but I like the look of the H bars and would be nice to have a little extra clearance from side view mirrors when rolling up to the front of a stop light between cars.

Taller is a more natural feel to me.  Narrow at speed makes no difference, parking lot speed it takes a little more effort to turn, don't notice it anymore after a couple days riding.
