The bolt took a fall.
« on: August 20, 2014, 12:25:09 am »
So I'm sad to say she tool a fall today, I live in PHX AZ and its monsoon season and been raining lime crazy so I got home today and saw my pool was turning green. Decided to jump on the bolt and pick up some shock. In a rush to beat the storm coming in I was lets say not the slowest driver heading to the local pool store. Made it safely and speed home to not only beat the storm but to treat my pool befor the next storm hit. long story short...... hahaha. I got home safely but in a rush to treat my pool forgot about the good ol kick stand(a rook mistake i know) and softly dropped her on the engine bars i recently installed. Tnanks god. No damage to me or the bike besides my ego lol. Thought id share with my yamaha muscle brothers and sister. Sorry it was so built up hahaha;D

Well I'm sorry to hear the bad news!! I forgot my kickstand one time after work did the same drop. My heart completely sank that day! No real damage for me either other than 2 small scuffs that aren't noticeable unless i show you, and a bent shifter. The only real damage was when the windshield hit the side of my truck scratching both the windshield and the truck. I just look at that and laugh now though. Again sorry!!

I was pushing mine in the garage a few months back and didn't realize my oil pan knocked the stand up so when I set my bike down I dropped it right on my guitar amp :( It has a 6" dent in the tank now but everyone that has ever seen it thinks it's supposed to be there cuz it's perfectly symmetrical lol...
If it's not broken, let's fix it till it is!

Good to hear nothing was physically damaged asides from a bit of ego damage, that'll fix easy enough with time....................................... 8).

Glad it was only the bike that took a fall! Have done the same thing a couple of times over the years, happens to everyone. Better watch out, more rain coming today. We have a flash flood watch here in the Coachella Valley. 8)

Yeah that ego is a lil bruised lol. Tell you what when it was falling I thought I could save it.... That's not a light crotch rocket haha gotta hit the gym a lil harder now haha. I rode today forecast says all clear but with the monsoon its clear one min and flooded the next. gotta get my feet wet one day right?

It's hard to let it go, we all think we can save it. Tore my right ACL when I started to lose my 1100 Silverado at a car wash a few years back and tried to keep it up. Took me a year to heal. Now if it goes, just get out of the way! 8)

Been there done that  :-\
Thankfully it was my little 250, not my big Bolt. But still, that little virago was hard to catch when she started goin - all I could do was gently lie it on the driveway, sigh & facepalm, then pick the bugger up.
No damage, ego excluded. So far I seem to have learned my lesson. (Please, buddha/jeebus/allah/ganesh/zeus/whomever, I hope I've learned my lesson lol)
